Klopp Claims League Manager of the Season Award

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been named Premier league Manager of the Season for 2019 -20.

After 30 years of waiting for their first top-flight title, the reds ended that wait with a record-breaking performance to finish the season with a club-record  99 points, 18 points clear of second-placed Manchester city

After going 27 games unbeaten with 26 wins the result was a record for the earliest title win after sealing the title with 7 matches to spare.

The manager wasn’t the only honored reds as Trent Alexander-Arnold also claimed Young Player of the Season, the right-back is also in contention for the player of the season trophy alongside teammates Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson.

During the period of this campaign, the reds had swept the major trophies to establish their world dominance which includes the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup claimed towards the of 2019 the same year they claimed the Champions League trophy.

All this adds up to the German being named league Managers Association manager of the year in July, ahead of fellow nominees Brendan Rodgers, Frank Lampard, and Chris Wilder. Although the season just ended for the reds Jurgen Klopp club can win his fifth Liverpool trophy, if they defeat Arsenal in the Community Shield final in August in Wembley.

The Liverpool Manager also expressed their desire to remain relentless in their pursuit of silverware  “ We will not stop, we really have to stay focused, because we see the opportunity I promise we would improve.”
